Relax... doing business with The Food Source is like going on vacation.  You place the order and we go to work.  We make sure that your order is of the highest quality, packed and shipped as promised, and delivered to your door on time.  Go ahead... relax.

HOW WE CONFIRM YOUR ORDER
Upon receipt of your order, we schedule your ship date based upon your preferred date, and availability of product.  We then e-mail (preferred) or fax an order confirmation that details quantity, price/lb and ship date. 
 
HOW WE SHIP YOUR PRODUCTS
We can ship 3rd party (pre-pay and add), or collect, on the carrier of your choice. When we arrange shipping, we put your shipment up for bid with a select group of qualified carriers, then choose best rate, terms and delivery. We always try to provide the best freight value on the day of shipment.
 
SHIPMENT LEAD TIMES
Due to number of product lines, lead times vary. Generally, we ship stock products within 2-3 days. Custom products may take up to two weeks. (With forecasts and/or blanket orders/contracts, we will inventory custom products for normal 2-3 day lead time.) Please refer to product pages to see more specific lead times for individual lines.
 
MINIMUM ORDER SIZE
Dairy Powders: Minimum order is 50 lbs for scale-up and trial runs only. Regular orders must ship out on a pallet, and we encourage minimum orders of 500 lbs or greater. Mixed pallets are okay. For custom dairy products, minimum order is 2,000 lbs due to size of batch coming off the dryer. However, we will accept custom orders of 2,000 lbs with staggered ship dates up to 90 days.
EM Dairy Flavors: Minimum order is 50 lbs.
Savory Flavors: Minimum order is 50 lbs for scale up, trial runs and "standard" products. The "custom" product minimum is 250 lbs. For all orders less than 250 lbs, a handling charge of $25 will be added on a per order basis.
Sweet Flavors: For stock products, minimum is one container, of varying weights depending on product, ranging from 25 to 50 lbs. Minimum for custom products varies, but generally is 100 – 250 lbs.
Dehydrated Vegetables: Minimum is one box for scale up and trial runs only. Standard order minimum is 250 lbs.  Box weights vary depending on product.  Check with your sales person or customer service to find out box weights. 
Freeze-dried Vegetables: Minimum is one box for scale up and trial runs only.  Standard order minimum is 250 lbs.  Box weights vary depending on product.  Check with your sales person or customer service to find out box weights.
Spices, Bulk: Minimum order is one box for scale ups and trial orders. Regular orders must ship by pallet, and we encourage orders of 500 lbs and up. Mixed pallets are okay.
Seasoning Blends: Minimum orders vary by type of seasoning and size of equipment for each particular blend. Small orders are accepted for trial orders. All regular orders must ship by pallet and we encourage orders of 500 lbs or more.
